Pond Party Organizers Stirring It Up in 2006;

Official Sponsor Announced

The Island Pond Road Rally Planning Committe recently announced that Stirrings™ will be the official sponsor of the 2006 Island Pond Road Rally/Pond Party. Stirrings (producer of premium drink mixers and garnishes) is a natural fit for an event that annually attracts some of Boston’s most influential consumers.

When reached sailing off the coast of Nantucket, Stirrings President, Paul N. was quoted as saying, “This party attracts a core group of B-list movers and shakers. I would be doing my company a disservice not to involve Stirrings with this event. I will personally drive a truckload of Mango Margarita mixers to Island Pond if I have to.”

Island Pond Inc.’s Director of Planning in the Tractor & Keg division, Jon S, shared his excitement: “There’s nothing like a Tangerini to quench your thirst after you’ve been chopping wood in the fields all day.”

Pond Party veteran, Slim, was quick to support the new sponsor. “This is amazing. You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to play flip cup with a Mojito.”

The IP marketing staff courted Stirrings after a falling out with former sponsor, DeLORME (producer of maps). Sources close to the Road Rally Planning Division have indicated that the problem stemmed from an argument between DeLORME executives and IP’s Director of Road Rally Planning, Jim S. Jim insisted DeLORME publish a detailed map of NH and VT towns with cemeteries, including a fold-out chalk pocket for etching tombstones. DeLORME was not convinced of its mass appeal, and was slightly disturbed by the suggestion. Jim has not returned calls placed to his Road Rally bunker deep in the swamps of Lynnfield.
