2008 IP Road Rally - Early Team Info
I've heard from most of the usual suspects and it sounds like we'll have a pretty full field again. This is early info... I expect some major shifts between now and 8/1.

I think that's it for now. Did I miss your team? Feel free to comment on this post to elaborate more on your team members, strategy, etc.
You might want to keep an eye on this blog. My updates will become more frequent in the coming weeks and you might pick up some hints/clues that could be useful on 8/1.
If for some reason your team dissolves and you want to join forces with another team, either connect with them directly (via comments on this thread) and/or contact me to make the intro.
If you haven't started a fitness regiment (short sprints, long spells without a rest stop, map navigation by pen light, etc.... now might be the time to start.

Team PB is still interviewing a number of candidates for the honor of a seat in the Prize Patrol Van.
Ed McMahon gracefully declined the invitation, unfortunately. Here is his reply:
"Dear Team Popped Biscuits,
While honored to be considered for what is inarguably the most fun team in the history of the Island Pond Road Rally, I send my regrets as I will be unable to participate on account of being $644,000 behind on payments for my 4.8 million dollar mortgage, for a home which quite frankly pales in comparison to The Farm. Also, until the lawsuit with CitiBank for 180,000 dollars is settled, I'm afraid I won't have the required resources to be a contributing member to your team, with fuel prices being what they are.
My sincerest apologies, but know that I'll be thinking of you as I bask in the Beverly Hills sunshine next to the pool in my silk pajama bottoms and morning tipple of gin.

i would just like to humbly point out that these "rookies" probably have the most fuel efficient rally car. so, when the rest of you run out of money for refueling around 4 pm, we will PWN you.

hmmm - good point, but we've tried the fuel-efficient route before (in the car that Katie and Petra are likely taking this year) and well, it didn't work out so well.
Besides, while fueling, there are often things that can be acquired from the list-o-things-to-do...
I'm still trying to figure out my team. If anyone is looking for another team member or two let me know!

It depresses me that I won't make it to this one either... any chances of taking the IPRR to TN one of these days? Hmmm?
